You're not going to need a 960 pro unless you know you need a 960 pro. For your use case, sounds like the 960 EVO is a more sensible choice value-wise. You won't notice the speed difference in any real-world tasks you described. Heck, you wouldn't even notice it between the 850 EVO and 960 EVO unless you regularly use applications that benefit from a 960 Pro, at which point it would have been your first choice.
