T1 - Prospective 10v10 BASE ladder

Would be AWESOME if t1 could get BASE up again. I mean this was the original TRIBES game - the one the only and the best!

IF we even got 2 or 3 teams - just to start - Then numbers in pubs might follow.

for 10v10 a team would need 13, to cover for absentees.

dong would either need to double in size (hard to achieve) or merge with one of the teams signed up for the LT ladder (much easier).

from my POV increased variety is good, i'd like to play T1/T2/TA in a variety of formats.

Merging teams is an idea that i thought of as well.

Im sure XUI & co could muster more numbers to make it 13 or so.

What "really good TA" ruleset is there? lol. It's pretty much a broken system

u can do a nude spawn/t1 ruleset that would work really well in TA

its not hard actually but noone wants to play without snipeysnips

Yepp. Soldier capping very broken + impulse/rage too weak for constant quality chasing 320+ = need snipers. That and overall weapon lethality is too high as well as an over saturation of weapons = not Tribes. Its all been said before and no doubt will be said again. T:A is what it is and unfortunately while fun just for disc and flag play, it is ruined by so many other facets.

Gotta give props to anyone trying to get Tribes going though, all time series.

Or ban egocentric :). Make it only Quickdraw and lightweight for 2nd perk slot.

If it's nude spawn - how does one control deployable invs?

Nude spawn worked in t1 cos you could scavenge weps/pack/mines etc. I think TA just doesnt have the depth to it - it wasnt designed for nude spawn therefore there's no real options like scavanging etc. this = GAY

Soldier capping still very viable without Egocentric unfortunately. Slightly longer setup times/different DJ points.

Fair comments. I think you'd find it hard to coerce people into playing with it banned, though. More Juggs/Brutes on O X1/Colting will be the likely result. Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation really. Game is completely unbalanced in a Tribes sense - no matter what you try to correct, some other issue takes its place. LT is the only game mode in my eyes that would actually be semi balanced in T:A and that's a bit underwhelming really. Just got to accept it for what it is and let it die in the arse!

best way would be to make it highly defined

each team gets 1 jugg on stand, 2 lightd

2 HO, 1-2 cappers or light o

something like that, it would work very well imo but noone wants to do it, such is life :mrgreen:
