I'm sure they won't ruin it with modern console game design.

I didn't play it but apparently the recent Deus Ex game was good and reasonably faithful to the original?

DE Human Revolution was a pretty decent game, but fell down the Mass Effect hole where the ending was a set of 3 buttons and you choose the ending you want by pushing a button and nothing that you did in the game has any effect on the result. Story was nice but it was relatively light on RPG mechanics aside from inventory tetris. 6/10.

I'm not sure what that has to do with this SS3 game though, DEHR was developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix, unless "Otherside Entertainment" is same people from Eidos Montreal under a different name and I just missed that part.

Well that was true of the original Deus Ex too.
I think the only narrative thing that happened during the game that had any ongoing effect was whether or not you saved Paul (which I think most players didn't even realise you could do) but the ending was just a case of "here are 3 endings, pick which one you want"
