That to me looks like they've just ripped off what Wildstar did - which while also wasnt original, was almost exactly that style

levelling in wildstar was great fun - one of the best imho. I kind felt the same way about the levelling in warlords of draenor also. Hoping that the new expansion announced today is kinda the same.

Wildstar’s has the best combat system in any MMO to date IMO. Levelling felt like playing an action game (moreso than my dabblings in TERA and similar). It was just so goddamned fluid and felt so nice.

But those end zones – holy meh. It was a classic case of them polishing their early to mid level zones to a gleam, the latter zones where they ran out of ideas, or moreso, just didn’t receive as much attention. So much overuse of the sci-fi laboratory setting etc.

The game had so many good things going for it, like the amazing housing system, but one of the shittest communities I’ve ever seen, toxic players in their instance, crap pvp. Yadda yadda

Was reading Wow's down to 5.5 million subs or something at the moment - that's nothing to sneeze at, but watch that jump up to like 7+ with this announcement - or moreso the expansion release.

Looking at the character animations - recycled Smite models/animations = not a bad thing. But this is just Overwatch which is really just TF2/TFC/QWTF

None of this is a bad thing.

But I'm getting old, HotS/Hearthstone do more for me than their inspirations and HiRez' support of Tribes and Global Agenda is laughable.

Cant deny they didnt do a good job with Smite though - i think it's more a case of them stumbling upon a winner that boomed than their actual talent though. Tribes Ascend would have had the same opportunity had it 'gone viral', but it's design was just so limiting and fucked up that it only ever appealed to a minority of former Tribes players, who quickly moved on as it was horseshit.
