I tend to run around as either spec. ops or Engineer.
For the spec ops. gun; single shot mode all the time and its as accurate as all hell.
For engineer, the shotgun just rocks and the longest killing spree I've been on was as an engineer with the shot gun and the top left flag (the one in the construction sort of area) - like 11 kills before someone stopped me - at close range its basically one shot kill all around.
And nades, lots of people don't seem to be using them yet but there is nothing better when you are outnumbered than to just throw them like there is no tomorrow.
Also don't discount the c4/mines which are a ton of fun for defense and offense (hohohoh barl, I can't believe you fell for [email protected]#$!).
Auto is quite good for close range, like the middle town bit, for mediumish range 1 shot, its fairly accurate but not great. Nice as a support/cover weapon. Wouldn't want to be assaulting one of the beach bases with it though
Only other kit I use is medic, I like it on single shot for MEC and burst for yank.
I've also found myself using pistols alot more than I did in bf42, maybe because they are actually half decent now.
AT rocket launcher is pretty nifty, thank fuck it has no real splash dammage otherwise it would be overpowered++. Pity it takes almost no skill to use now that its just point and shoot, unlike bf42 where you had to aim higher for distance ect. Also in bf42 you could shoot tank in bottom of the bum for 1 hit kill, but I think I've hit just about everywhere on the tanks in bf2 and havn't found any sweet spots like that, am I just sucking or is there no way to kill without 2 shots?
Paradox made a good point with the accuracy of switching fireing modes, if you can be bothered a nice single shot or 2 to the head will drop most people at ranbge quite effectivly.
Also noted was the pistols, I like the silenced pistol, workes quite well but again, aiming for the head is a must, as the classes with more body armour its like shooting at a tank.
plus those vehicle mines totally own everything.
i just wish ppl would stop blowing up the bridges with c4
