Hand of Fate (CCG)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/266510/

Ok, this is well worth the $20 (sale price) on steam.

It's a combo of the Talisman board game with cards making your path and you drawing weapons, armor, incidents etc. Then when you get to an encounter its a case of basic 3rd person beat em up with a dodge, block and stun plus LMB click to attack in real time. You also have a few extra skills if they RNG's out of your deck or you bought them along the way.

The AI story-teller/dealer is well animated and voice-acted and the card art is simple but quite nice. The combat is ok and fun as well but I think it's the weak point. Not weak enough to detract from the game. As you progress you build up deck resources and can craft new decks, plus the AI slips some extras in after you have created the core. I'm two games in and have hit the "just one more" point.

I've been disillusioned with quite a few big name games recently (hi Evolve and Wolfenstein) and Armello still doesn't quite feel that finished/enjoyable (because it's not) to me so it's nice to see smaller houses putting out fun games :)

Well worth having a look at or at least take a look at the TB review:

This game caught my eye when it was added to steam but I haven't bit the bullet yet. Shame that I didn't jump on it sooner with the discount they were offering.

Apparently it's made by an Australian developer called Defiant Development (www.defiantdev.com/hofpress)

You need to get a PS4 before you buy any more PC games!

I'd love a PS4 for Bloodborne, but without DLNA support there's literally no way I can justify replacing the PS3 (which i use daily to watch TV)

Heh because both is unworkable. Only have one ethernet over power port out in that room, and limited space. Last thing i need is another console, and moreso, one that's only valuable for playing games (which i rarely do anyway on consoles). If PS4 had DLNA then yeah i'd be looking more seriously to buy it. Right now i'm this close to buying the Homeworld remake, but mehh tooooooooooo many games
