Vehicles with shields and reusable flares... that sounds balanced. I don't think vehicles should have flares, they should either outrun it, out maneuver it or use flares from someone else has thrown, though it sounds like the flares v missile might be coded to the player rather than if they pass by a random flare like T2.

will reserve judgement till I try it - but it mostly sounds good... will be interesting to see if it's balanced.

I 'think' I like the concept but will need to see how its implemented. I read it as - once you've been locked on by a missile you need to make the choice to sacrifice mobility for survival unless you're carrying flares. Missiles will unlock if you cease all energy usage for the duration and as such is a method for 'slowing' people down.
