On the Sydney server I was pinging around 120 (from the middle of the NT), went on the US servers and was pinging around 90Playing on NY servers from Syd (260-300 ping) felt better than T1 or T2 netcode, and miles better than TA.

There's no doubt that DOX is probably the best mapper in the Tribes franchise. He also understands gameplay dynamics. If his name is even associated with any maps it would give them real credibility...Not saying they can't get there on their own, but promising 5150 are in the first tourny is the only other move they have...and T.V burned that.Obviously some of these maps are quite rough and early works in progress - but how much attention do you think has been paid to the actual terrain design? From the screenies much of it looks like randomly generated fractal maps. It's impossible to tell from screenies though, but do you think these guys have some good mapper skills? Do we need to dispatch DOX?

we've not been playing base, mostly because they're still working on it. LT suits the numbers we've been getting and is ready for release imo.
