[Movie] The Keeper of Lost Causes (2013)

[One-Liner]
- Foreign thriller with a similar feel to Silence of the Lambs

[Plot]
- Rather angsty homicide investigator (Carl Mørck) is shot on the job and two of his colleagues are killed / wounded
- Goes on tilt and is ordered off the job to work in a new department "Q" which is responsible for reviewing then closing old cases
- Grunt work, but he and the other officer (Assad) assigned to the department start to investigate the disappearance of a a well-known female politician, Merete Lynggaard, several years previously
- Her disappearance was ruled a suicide, but is she actually dead?

[Pros]
- Fun little thriller, not amazing, but quite clevely paced (imo) to keep the tension up throughout the movie

[Cons]
- Maybe it's just the language but found the acting a bit flat
- Identity of the bad guy is a bit random, but not entirely out-of-the-blue

[Rating]
3 KFC buckets out of 5

Im guessing by the names this is Danish? Have you heard of the Danish tv series the Killing? I believe they made an american version of it too (as the american's of course cant handle anything non-american). It's supposed to be excellent (the danish original) - heard multiple people at work rave about it.

Yes Danish.

The book the movie was based off is called "Kvinden i Buret" (which if you Google the translation gives a spoiler about the plot).

The Killing looks like it's getting good reviews, can't say I've really heard much about it though...
