Not sure if there's any interest in you hosting T1 stuff too but this comment here from KFC has a lot of old zX vX demos
viewtopic.php?p=373493#p373493
I've got 2 x RAR files which (iirc) has all of these in them.

Don't have the FTP details to Hobbz' site on me unfortunately, but will upload there when I can...

In the meantime:

might grab that tw directory

afaik there are no copies of the controversial mino map :(

the use vs germany one? i had a demo from a kraut perspective. I remember thinking how stupid he was using a fullforce nade script indoors on mino....they kept bouncing off walls and killing him....lol at base explosive timing....pretty sure i deleted it in disgust....could be on an old disc or hd...if thats even the match u meant.

In the process of re-uploading an iM vs sh map where it's 17 vs 17... those were the days...

if anyone's after the 4K or 1440p quality version of these vids they usually take a day or two longer to process

I've uploaded a few more base ones to my folders, although unsure if the changes have been made on hobbs main demo page. There's hawk and mojo on woody for au vs usw amongst others. oh, meat on boss in an iM match... when my demos are updated you'll see a few nuggets. mmmm..nuggets.

funny watching these old 17v17 comp games from the days before voice chat, where people would just type in all caps and spam y + up + enter to get their point across. If only we could play some 17v17 base with modern voice comms 8-)

I'm pretty sure everyone had voice comms by the start of T2. AE would not let anyone into the clan without voice comms as standard from about the end of T1.

It was def available... in the iM vs X match there's one vid that Buffy took as an observer and someone from /X/ said something like "you should hear our rw" (roger wilco) - so it was def available.
It's come a long way since then of course and people still often typed things anyway... I'm sure I typed more that I voice chatted back then. A lot of people prob didn't even have a mic.

Now if anyone has any suggestions on a few things regarding fixing a T2 high res hud... health/energy bars are quite tiny, as is the objective/score hud... anything which could help make the demos a bit better in regards to being able to see what the score is or how low the recording players health is would be helpful.

EDIT - fixed the score hud issue - found a script and edited it to suit my purposes, it's not perfect but it's much better than it was. In the the finishing stages of uploading a demo now so it'll be there from the next one onward. Health/Energy bar still tiny though.

The main problems with voice comms wasn't that it was hard to get (since nearly everyone had a pirated version of Battlecom) but that the codecs at the time caused horrendous lag for us dialup users.
