Am open to suggestions. Nobody really plays midair atm but we have a bittah.com server running and the game itself hits steam in a couple of months so that may draw some more interest.

We have 40+ people on the Discord server some nights (playing pubg ;p).

there will undoubtedly be a lull until midair is released... it was pretty quiet between T:V and Ascend too.. then got livelier when that kicked off... midair will bring the same sort of thing no doubt.

I'm still in the process of converting T2 recordings to youtube... did a few you featured in the last couple of days, eg:
I'm not posting them all direct to bittah but may start doing a weekly update of what's been added... not like it'll be clogging up the forums or anything.

I post all the players names in the video description so you can probably do a google video search for shakey-lo tribes 2 and see whichever ones I've converted that you've appeared in. Still a lot to do...

Hey All..

Wow , what an awesome wander down memory lane.. for what I could spare the attention span to remember..

Teh Pink Invs and Pickles for the win.. lol
And Doopy .. ahh ..

So it seems Midair is the way to go ??
I have recently come back to gaming after successfully teaching my son to use a keyboard and mouse.. instead of a controller..

Any advice to help get back into it ? Do I buy the Alpha build pack ? I wanna play again and Ascend is always empty . I can't get Tee One to run on my new lil MSI Laptop..

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Tribes. Was thinking we could do something for it. Just wondering if there is any interest?

Yeah maybe we can host a T1 server and fire up some old maps. That would be okay.

Might be good to have a little bit of Team Arena. This was a popular downtime game type on Bubberdome and we all seemed to have a lot of fun with it... :D

Give me enough notice I think I can swing a few hours for a bbq.

This thread has memories that I didn't know existed.

I doubt anything will come close, due to the factors that others have mentioned.

And I'm out!

Walk down memory lane indeed. Nice to see the old names I spent so much time playing T1/T2 with.

My time with Tribes stopped after T2 (hated Ascend), however I received an email today which brought me here and I’m keen to hear more about Midair. The only ‘PC’ I have these days is my work laptop. Still, should be good to go I assume.

I’m still a very active gamer and I play typically between 10-12 nightly on PS4. Recent years have seen me jump on The Division and R6 Siege, though I’m predominantly a Battlefield player, all the way back to Bad Company 2.

Definitely keen to catch up, whether in the city or at someone’s house for a few drinks. I’d love to know where everyone ended up in life (personally, I’m married with a 3yo who keeps me busy).

Keeping OT however, one of my favorite bittah wars was with you Stan, and iirc Fisty. Something to do with a penis flower? And you can’t bear Doopy’s Goatsee. I still remember that Penske Hill lan.

Kingcutter was an awesome HO...One of the Best. EL Could have been truly awesome....burt, Xarg, KC...etc... respek
To this day, 20 years later a lot of us are still really close, Kingcutter had a kid and asked me to be the godfather. I worked alongside dirtYbird, Suits, Woftham (rip) for about 6 years, all because of Tribes. Xargs and I even started a fish and chips shop together a few years ago. Like other's have said, this community was really something special. I hosted an EL reunion and was blown away that guys flew in from every corner of the country. And then they were blown away by the quality of the various powders that were on hand.

Given that Itchy is being mentioned a lot.. Though I have no idea what that was all about, he was very young compared to most of us and for what it's worth, he's grown up to be a pretty decent guy :buttplug:

I think that the bonds we formed playing Tribes and Tribes 2 are going to hold us together until we all start dropping dead. It's been 20yrs already and most of us are middle-aged. Only another 20 more years and we'll all be hovering around the 60yr mark. I'm pretty sure most of us will still be frequenting these forums, although not as frequently as before. Tribes and this community were my life for a good 10yrs or so.
