Might be good to have a little bit of Team Arena. This was a popular downtime game type on Bubberdome and we all seemed to have a lot of fun with it... :D

Give me enough notice I think I can swing a few hours for a bbq.

This thread has memories that I didn't know existed.

I doubt anything will come close, due to the factors that others have mentioned.

And I'm out!

Walk down memory lane indeed. Nice to see the old names I spent so much time playing T1/T2 with.

My time with Tribes stopped after T2 (hated Ascend), however I received an email today which brought me here and I’m keen to hear more about Midair. The only ‘PC’ I have these days is my work laptop. Still, should be good to go I assume.

I’m still a very active gamer and I play typically between 10-12 nightly on PS4. Recent years have seen me jump on The Division and R6 Siege, though I’m predominantly a Battlefield player, all the way back to Bad Company 2.

Definitely keen to catch up, whether in the city or at someone’s house for a few drinks. I’d love to know where everyone ended up in life (personally, I’m married with a 3yo who keeps me busy).

Keeping OT however, one of my favorite bittah wars was with you Stan, and iirc Fisty. Something to do with a penis flower? And you can’t bear Doopy’s Goatsee. I still remember that Penske Hill lan.

Kingcutter was an awesome HO...One of the Best. EL Could have been truly awesome....burt, Xarg, KC...etc... respek
To this day, 20 years later a lot of us are still really close, Kingcutter had a kid and asked me to be the godfather. I worked alongside dirtYbird, Suits, Woftham (rip) for about 6 years, all because of Tribes. Xargs and I even started a fish and chips shop together a few years ago. Like other's have said, this community was really something special. I hosted an EL reunion and was blown away that guys flew in from every corner of the country. And then they were blown away by the quality of the various powders that were on hand.

Given that Itchy is being mentioned a lot.. Though I have no idea what that was all about, he was very young compared to most of us and for what it's worth, he's grown up to be a pretty decent guy :buttplug:

I think that the bonds we formed playing Tribes and Tribes 2 are going to hold us together until we all start dropping dead. It's been 20yrs already and most of us are middle-aged. Only another 20 more years and we'll all be hovering around the 60yr mark. I'm pretty sure most of us will still be frequenting these forums, although not as frequently as before. Tribes and this community were my life for a good 10yrs or so.

Re: Bittah all time greatest moments

I'm like Damo wasn't in SMC, then I realised you meant Stan/damo not EL Damo. (that's right isn't it?)

So city lunch time lets do it, does that work for people or not many?

Lunch with stan means a drive to launceston.

It took a while to get there, but it was worth it as a pre-xmas present to myself  8-)

Re: Bittah all time greatest moments

Been looking back at my old posts. Absolutely mortifying to see what a toolbox I was to a lot of people at different times. Sorry everyone, but especially Wildkat, Kronic250, Jaff and ArchAngel who organised events that I participated in, but then never showed any respect or gratitude.

I do think its slightly weird how many 20somethings were willing to argue with a 15yro though... there was no contest of wits... I didn't know shit about anything, lul.

^ i have a copy of my 2002 my docs folder

<AVA> Majestic: Was your guy really killing our gens from 400m oob?
i think it was jsut who wrote a script where it gave you mortar cam on a local server. you could work out some bs shots.
Yep. I remember setting up several crazy oob spots on multiple maps to mortar spam from. Some maps you could hit gens if you were accurate enough. Some spots let you hit turrets with two mortars at once from one player (high arc / low arc) to cut through that shield quicker. I've wasted so much of my life...
