I'm like Damo wasn't in SMC, then I realised you meant Stan/damo not EL Damo. (that's right isn't it?)
So city lunch time lets do it, does that work for people or not many?

Lunch with stan means a drive to launceston.
It took a while to get there, but it was worth it as a pre-xmas present to myself

Yep. I remember setting up several crazy oob spots on multiple maps to mortar spam from. Some maps you could hit gens if you were accurate enough. Some spots let you hit turrets with two mortars at once from one player (high arc / low arc) to cut through that shield quicker. I've wasted so much of my life...plenty of us were doing airpoints without dedens script.^ i have a copy of my 2002 my docs folderCode: Select all
Beggars Run Storm (North Base) 477.5 metres from the flag turret - 400 in middle of diamond : jump & fire (not too quickly) deck - waypoint either side : 400 reticle in the middle of the numbers Inferno (South Base) 365 metres from flag : 350 reticle at top of diamond Right Deck - 325 @ top of number 405.9 metres West of flag (next to cactus) Left Sensor - 325 @ top of numbers Left Deck - 375 @ middle of X waypoint Right Deck - 400 reticles 1 cm above numbers - jump fire 476.6 metres East of flag (top of little pyramid) Right Flag - 400 @ top of numbers - jump fire Turret - 375 @ bottom of letters

and this gem from irc after a zD AvA match on slapdashi think it was jsut who wrote a script where it gave you mortar cam on a local server. you could work out some bs shots.<AVA> Majestic: Was your guy really killing our gens from 400m oob?
Re:
I confess. This was a wikipedia page entry at one point, it's gone now
Strength in Numbers aka +SiN+ was the dominant australasian Tribes 2 team founded by Wulfius Khan in the year 2000.
Background
+SiN+ was founded as a competitive team for the online computer game 'Starsiege: Tribes'in the year 2000. +SiN+ was founded upon the principles of solid teamwork and fair play.
Leadership was transferred from the founder Wulfius Khan to Inspite in 2002.
Competition
+SiN+ remained undefeated in Starsiege: Tribes and their closest rival was MX3.
Upon the release of Tribes 2 +SiN+ shifted across and joined the local Australasian competition.
+SiN+ heavily dominated all competition with the original base release and further dominated all competition with the release of Classic Mod. The team /X/ founded by DOX were a firm rival but never quite came close to knocking +SiN+ off their perch.
+SiN+ went on to compete in Tribes: Vengeance upon its release in 2004 and then onto Battlefield 2. Competition was fierce yet they dominated the Australasian leagues in these games also.
Notable players in their powerful roster were players such as Diab Zero, Kicken and Inspite.
SiN faded into obscurity in 2006 as they retired from all competition.
It was me that did that edit on Wikipedia. After writing it I created an account on Bittah and pretended to be some European guy writing an article which was going to include a segment on the Australian tribes scene. I then dropped a hint that /X/ and +SiN+ were the top two Australian teams according to the Wikipedia article and then just sat back and enjoyed the show. I kinda felt bad in a way as the fireworks resulted in any mention of the Tribes scene in Australia being dropped from the Wikipedia article entirely, thus /X/ lost its notable mention, a mention which was accurate.
Childish I know yet funny at the time.

This thread was a bit of a trip down memory lane
My all time greatest moment for tribes was probably when I was the most ignored user on this site with like 40+, not sure there was even that many active posters at the time lol

Re: Bittah all time greatest moments
iirc nexty embedded a script into a flash file or something.... it was a random number generator and if rolled a 100 sided dice, and there were 2-3 numbers which did something (I think they just ignored different users). After a while those users got ignored by quite a lot of people lolThis thread was a bit of a trip down memory lane
