This is on my DVD list... can't justify cinema prices to watch Adrian Brody trying to look tough.

I'm keen to check out Toy Story 3 before this tbh.

Just saw it. Agree with Meathax. Not awesome but better than the AvPs.

seeing this tonight, big fan of the original so sounds like it might be ok.

EDIT: Enjoyed it. While it's similar to the first movie there was enough new stuff to keep me interested. So much better than the AvP movies

I saw it last night.

I liked it, got chills hearing the old Predator theme music.

Also didn't realise Laurence Fishburne was going to be in it, so that took me by surprise.

Most open ended movie I've ever seen.... hehe

Saw this tonight, have to say that while it was basically what i was expecting, the movie was crap. I cbf'd listing all the crap points, but there were tons.

Lawrence Fishburne's part in it was a joke - i actually laughed out loud when he...revealed.

You know you have a quality movie when one character calls the Predator a 'space faggot', and says that when he gets back to Earth, he wants to do lots and lots of cocaine and 'rape lots of women.'

So classy.

saw it last night... it was better than what I thought it was going to be when I saw the trailer... but still nowhere near in the league of the original.

WHAT THE HELL IS IT WITH SEQUALS OF THESE TYPES OF MOVIES FEELING IT IS NECESSARY TO REPEAT LINES VERBATIM FROM THE ORIGINAL???
At least they didnt say "if it bleeds, we can kill it". Heck there was even almost direct quotes from Aliens "I'll do us both".

Agree with DJ, Lawrence Fishburne's part was pointless... I don't see how it added to the plot in any way.

The yakuza fight scene was also not what I was hoping for. It seemed very setup to be 'Billy-esque' from the original but just didn't fit right to me.

I suppose it does seem like I have quite a few issues with the movie (I thought the intro was pretty crappy... and there are more...) but I thought Brody did pretty good and the support cast were alright too... and it was mostly entertaining.

Why that Yakuza guy was even in the movie was beyond me. That little fight sequence was awesome. And i agree, to me it felt like it based most of its dialogue, and some of its characters on Aliens. So many lines felt ripped from it - even the main dude revealing his name at the end, um Hicks anyone?

It wasnt horseshit, but in hindsight i wish i saw Inception instead.

when they were told that mud blocked the preds vision, why didn't they immediately go and cover themselves in mud?

Movie seemed too much like the original Predator. Can't believe they even rehashed the music... I got hyped watching the trailer that had Brody covered in Predator laser sights...but never saw it in film. icon_sad.gif

yeah i remember that but that wasn't really their vision mode of choice... AND they didn't hear about the whole adapting thing till later in the movie. They were setting a trap to ambush the preds and trying to hide but decided that covering in mud wasn't a good idea at that time?
